With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Yvonne Angela Duran Escobar. She was born in Oxnard, CA on October 25, 1965, and was raised in Oxnard and Camarillo, CA. She graduated from Los Altos Intermediate School and Santa Clara High School. She also attended Ventura College and CSU Fresno. She was always very kindhearted and a very gentle soul, with a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She was very dedicated to her Catholic Faith and prayed the rosary daily. She was a dedicated mother to four daughters, Ashley Nelson, Jacquelyn Nichole Nelson, Tamara Lujan (Son-in-law Richard), Samantha Escobar, and her only son and youngest child, Thomas Escobar. 8 unconditionally loved grandchildren; Nicholas, Jacob, Nicholette, Frank, Miyah, Ava, Gia, and Nathaniel. She dedicated her life to her son Thomas as a loving caregiver as he was born with special needs. She is also survived by her mother, Irma J. Lopez; her father, Father Frank Duran. Sisters, Lisa, Marisa and Tiffany. Welcoming her to heaven are her beloved grandparents Pete & Sally Luna, Manuel & Belen Duran and step-father Dr. Manuel Lopez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., September 20, 2023 with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Camino del Sol Funeral Home Chapel, 200 North C Street, Oxnard.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 10:00 a.m., September 21, 2023, St. Mary Magdalen Church, 25 N. Las Posas Rd, Camarillo, with burial to follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, Camarillo.

Yvonne was compassionate and loving to her family and friends and will be always missed and forever loved.
