Victoria "Vicky" Lopez

Victoria "Vicky" Lopez, 44, of Oxnard, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at St. John's Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

Vicky was born Aug. 24, 1965, in Ventura and was a lifelong resident. She loved her family very much and they loved her. She enjoyed spending time with her family as she believed they were her legacy, she was especially fond of her grandchildren. Vicky always looked forward to family gatherings and bar-b-ques, they brought her a lot of joy.

She is survived by her children, Tove Lopez Ruiz, Jose Zuniga, Jesse Zuniga, Mary Ann Zuniga, Lupe Zuniga and Victoria Zuniga; husband, Gonzalo Chairez; sisters, Rose Marie Bautista and Patsy Miranda; brothers, Michael Maheno and Max Maheno; mother, MaryAnn Ramos; grandchildren, Daisy Ruiz, Adrian Ruiz, Andrew Zuniga and Destiny Zuniga; including numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Ramos; brothers, Johnny Boy Ramos and Jose "Pepe" Ramos; sister, Kathy Castro; nephew, Bobby Castro, Jr.

Visitation is planned from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, with an evening prayer service at 7 p.m. at Camino del Sol Funeral Home, 200 North C St., Oxnard.
