Stanley Castaneda, 82, loving husband and father, was born in El Paso, Texas, on November 23, 1940, and passed away on September 6, 2023. Stanley was a very hard worker as a young teenager who helped support his mother and siblings from a young age. He worked several jobs as a young man in El Paso and one of his jobs was with the Baron Family Business.
In 1956 he came to California with his grandfather, Romulo, and worked at different farms as a heavy equipment mechanic. At the time he was working for the Yasutake Farms, he decided to bring his family to Oxnard. He also worked for Flowers by Paulann and Andy’s Flower Shops delivering flowers, where he was also taught the art of flower arranging. In 1985, Stanley got a job with the El Rio Berry Farms and worked there for 38 years as a heavy equipment mechanic.
He was married to Roberta for 62 years and had three sons, Joseph, Thomas, and Andy. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by his sister Norma Ladwig, and brother Ray Castaneda,
He was preceded in death by his mother, Magdalena, brothers, Frank, Robert and Ruben, sisters, Irene, (Winnie) and Yolanda and his son, Andy.
A special note from Stanley: He wanted to give a Special Thanks to everyone who knew him and touched his life in one way or another throughout the years. He was very grateful for all the friendships he made in his lifetime.

A Catholic Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 A.M., October 20, 2023, at the Santa Clara Catholic Church, 323 S. E Street, Oxnard, Interment will follow at the the Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 N. H Street, Oxnard .
