With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra Guillen, a cherished soul who departed this world on October 13, 2023, at the tender age of 45, following a courageous year-long battle with cancer.

Sandra's journey began on February 17, 1978, in California, born to her loving parents, Artemio and Artemia "Elvira" Guillen. Today, we come together to honor the enduring legacy of love and warmth that she leaves behind, a legacy that will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sandra, a true social butterfly at heart, possessed a special gift for making friends wherever she went. Her radiant personality and unwavering kindness endeared her to all who had the privilege of crossing her path. Her love for her friends and family was boundless, and she was a true inspiration of joy in their lives.

After completing high school, Sandra pursued her passion for caring and helping others by dedicating herself to the study of nursing. Her dedication to her profession led her to a fulfilling career in the healthcare industry, spanning over 25 years. Her compassion and empathy for patients and colleagues alike left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she served.

Sandra is survived by her partner of more than twenty years, Jack, who gave friendship, love, strength and support throughout her life's journey. Her devoted sister Laura who stood by her side throughout her courageous battle, providing unwavering love and care. Sandra is additionally survived by her loving brothers, Art and Mario, who shared a special bond with her, as well as her niece Jaylee and nephews Michael and Arthur, who held a cherished place in her heart.

A Mass to commemorate Sandra's remarkable life will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Following the service, Sandra will be laid to rest at Bardsdale Cemetery in Fillmore, California, alongside her parents at her mother's gravesite.

Sandra Guillen will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace, her memory living on in the love and warmth she shared with the world.
