Rebeca Desiree DeLeon

Rebeca DeLeon 35, of Ventura, Ca left this earth to her final resting place on September 28, 2021.  Rebeca was born on September 11, 1986 to Rodolfo DeLeon and Emily Tanner in the city of Ventura, California.  As a child, Rebeca had a sense of humor that would brighten anyone’s day. She was sweet, gentle, and kind. During her early years, time was spent with her cousins Leah and Nikki. They were inseparable, living life more like sisters and continuing that bond throughout life. At the age of nine, Rebeca was given a baby brother Thomas, whom she cherished. She devoted herself to him and loved him beyond words.  Rebeca also spent lots of time in Saticoy with her father, her stepmom Mary and step siblings whom she loved dearly.   In March of 2003 she became a mother to her first-born daughter Alexis. Sometime after, Rebeca met her love Martin Santillan and together they were blessed with two sons Rudy and Martin Jr. Lastly, came her beautiful baby girl Rebeca.
Rebeca adored all of her children. She treasured every moment with them and she was sure to let everyone know of her love for them. They loved to go camping, on beach trips, have movie nights, play video games together, or as her son Martin Jr. says “just simply hanging out”. It’s evident that when Rebeca was with her kids, she engulfed herself in their presence and truly became one with them. When they were together nothing else mattered. In the Fall of 2020, Rebeca became a grandmother to Julius. He quickly became the light of her life.
      Not only did Rebeca love her children, Rebeca loved people. Her kindness reflected in loving people from all walks of life. She had and extraordinary way of making you feel special no matter who you were and she had a knack for making you laugh in any circumstance. Her smile would light up a room and her laugh was unforgettable. Rebeca was overly generous and wanted to help everyone in her path.  She was a giver and a doer. She had the heart of a servant. In her last few days here on earth, she set aside her own needs and still was helping others, for that Rebeca will always be cherished. The love we show others is all that truly matters in this life and that Rebeca fulfilled. She will forever be loved and remembered.
Rebeca Deleon is survived by her mother, Emily Tanner, her brother, Thomas Marquez, her children, Alexis, Rudy, Martin Jr. and Rebeca, and her grandmothers, Henrietta Tanner and Maria Theresa, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father Rodolfo DeLeon, her grandmother Maria de Jesus Mendez, and her uncle, Gregory Tanner.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Camino Del Sol Funeral Home in Oxnard, Ca.
 A burial service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Santa Clara Cemetery. Celebration of life gathering to follow at Thille Park in Ventura, Ca.
