Raymond Alarcon Rico

Raymond Alarcon  Rico of Oxnard, age 78 passed peacefully in his home on December 16th 2025 surrounded by family. He was born  August 7th 1947  to Juanita”Jennie” Alarcon and Raymond Rico.  He was a lifelong resident of Ventura county . Born and raised in Colonia. He graduated high school in Santa Barbara at 16.

Over the years Rico was a man of many trades  from carpentry,upholstery,machinery and repair, print pressing . His later years he worked for Ventura Piping Supply. Where he retired. 

He lived a very full life. In his younger years he was a passionate and accomplished handball player through out his life. He appreciated camping, fishing , watching country westerns  and sci-fi movies. He enjoyed his lotto tickets and his weekend trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas. His love and his pride was his family. He found delight in searching for toys and vintage items to bring  back to new life for his love one. Among his favorite moments were making breakfast, Holidays, field trips, special events and  daily calls and face times with his grand  and great grand children.

He was a devoted Husband to his wife Mary Inez . They were married almost 50 years. He had 6 children Eddie, Michele, Mark, Dinera, Raymond, and Maxine. 

He was a dedicated grandfather to 18 grandkids and 10 great grandchildren.he had a big heart and so much love for his family, He held a special spot in his heart for his niece Claricia Vasquez and nephews Donald Provencio and  Ruben Ortega.

He preceded in death by his mother Jennie Alarcon, Father. Raymond Rico, sister Yolanda Provencio,son Eddie Ramirez Rico,Tia Rose ”Cokela” Bolander, Niece Cindy Bolander and his  faithful dogs Tito and Layla

He is Survived by his  Loving wife Mary Inez brother Faustino Herrera son’s Mark (Brenda)Frenes,Raymond Rico III Daughters Michele Frenes, Dinera Rico,Maxine (Eduardo) Donosa ,Son in law Salomon Valadez Grandchildren Michele Frenes, Mark Frenes, Mireya (Mark) Castaneda,Daniel Frenes, Mia (Gabi) Sampilo,Amaya Frenes, ,Mikayla Olivares,Francesca Frenes,Money Valadez,Joaquin Valadez , Nadia Frenes Isabella Frenes,Moses Gonzalez,Brenden Frenes, Raphael,Aurora, Lilliana ,Leonardo Donosa, Mariah Izarraraz

And many Great grandchildren, extended family members who will forever hold his memory close.
