Norma Jean Padilla, 87, of Ventura, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026 at home. Born on December 17, 1938. She was a dedicated Payroll Clerk for over 40 years at Saticoy Lemon Packing House. Norma Jean was known for her generous heart, her kindness to all, and lovely devotion to her family. She married William Manuel Padilla in 1957, and together they built a life full of love and laughter. Norma Jean is survived by her daughter Shelley Ann Casillas, and her sisters Mary, Janet and Lucille; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her treasured friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill and her sons Billy and Steven and her granddaughter Lea. Norma Jean loved life and sharing it with those around her, whether it was the bar-b-q's at the parks or in the back yard. She was the hostess with coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Tequila would never be to far from reach. She wasn't particular of the brand as long as you had one or a few shots with her. If you couldn't reach her at home you'll find her on a slot machine at Chumash or shopping. Shopping was a passion she enjoyed. If not at the malls there was always QVC, and if you showed up at the house you may be going home with a gift. We all have stories and memories we hold dear to our hearts. Join us to Celebrate her life and the love she shared with us all. Rosary and Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 10800 Henderson Rd, Ventura. Rosary will be held Wednesday evening 7:00pm to 9:00pm, April 8, 2026. Mass will be held Thursday morning 10:00am, April 9, 2026. Reception to follow the mass.
