Margarita R. Flores, age 100, was born on July 7, 1925, and entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Oxnard, California.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Benjamin Flores; her mother, Ramona; her father, Macedonio; her sisters, Jessie, Concha, Dolores, and Maria; and her brother, Ignacio.
Margarita is survived by her loving daughters, Maggie Ramirez (Mike) and Rosie Ortiz (Armando), and her sons, Ben Flores Jr. (Iris) and Manny Flores (Luanne). She also leaves behind her seven grandchildren: Letty, Armando Jr., Nicholas, Stacy, Jerry, Mia, and Marlene; step granddaughter, Nikki; eight great-grandchildren: Monique, Gabriel, Cassie, Nicolas, Mateo, Mattison, Marley, and Jerry Jr.; and step-great-granddaughters Presley and Paloma, including several step great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Francisca, Gloria, and Bertha, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Margarita was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed crafts, coloring, and her love for lollipops. She was also an avid Dodgers fan. She will be fondly remembered for her delicious homemade tortillas and gorditas, which brought joy to everyone who knew her.
She was a lifelong member of VFW Post 9173 (Smelter Town) in El Paso, Texas.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to We Care Home Health, Bella Vista Hospice Care, and her dedicated caregiver, Ines, for their compassionate care and support.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Camino del Sol Funeral Home, located at 200 N. C Street in Oxnard, California. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard, California.
