Juan Manuel Torres Cruz

Juan Manuel Torres Cruz, 81, passed away on October 1, 2025 after a lengthy illness in Oxnard, California. He was born on October 20, 1943, in Villa Hidalgo, Zacatecas, Mexico to Simon Torres Perez and Alberta Cruz Beltran of Zacatecas. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Socorro Garcia Torres, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, son Juan Manuel Torres, Jr. and sister Maria Concepcion Reyes Cruz. He lived a full and happy life. He was a 58-year resident of Ventura County, saying he loved Oxnard and its weather. He worked as a foreman for Naumann Bros. of Oxnard for over 30 years out in the open land which he loved so much. He also loved music, singing, and spent most of his life composing songs. He had a huge heart, always helping people in any way he could and a funny sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
