Joe Angel Ortega III, of Oxnard, California, passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 48.
Born on September 9, 1977, Joe was a lifelong resident of Oxnard, where he was raised and built his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Valdez, and his brother, Ronald Angel Valenzuela. He was also blessed to have had Henry Valdez Sr. as a guiding and supportive presence in his life for many years.
Joe will be remembered most for his deep love and devotion to his family, especially his children, who were the center of his world.
Joe is survived by his children, Kaylee, Joe IV, Emma, and Grace. He leaves behind brothers Danny Valdez (Oxnard), Henry Valdez Jr. (Oxnard), Vincent Perez Carre (Palm Springs), and John Valdez (Oxnard), and sisters Roberta Tapia (Oxnard) and Lulu Tapia (Oxnard), along with many nieces and nephews.
Joe truly loved spending time with his family. Whether it was sharing moments big or small, being together meant everything to him, and those memories will be held close by all who knew him.
Music was one of Joe’s greatest passions. It brought him joy and was a meaningful part of his life, reflecting his spirit and the way he connected with the world around him.
Joe’s life was defined by the quiet strength of a man who cared deeply, loved fully, and found his greatest purpose in his children. He will be missed dearly and remembered always.
