James ""Jimmy"" Rojo Sr

Obituary
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our dad, James (Jimmy) Rojo Sr. He passed away peacefully, entering into heaven on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.
James was born April 23, 1951, in Oxnard, to Abundio and Helen (Padilla) Rojo and was a life long Oxnard resident. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but especially loved to be around his three children, whom he adored. Some of his favorite past times with his family were going to various casinos and listening to oldies music of his favorite artists.
He is survived by his three wonderful and loving children, sons, James Rojo Jr. and Anthony Rojo, daughter Jennifer Rojo; sisters, Adela Franco, Christina Zuniga, Rachel Cabral (late Joe), Vera Martin (Rudy) and Val Aguilar (Alfonso); sister-in-law, Rosie Rojo; various nephews, nieces and cousins; friend, Irene M. Calderon and her family; as well as, Carmen C. Rojo, who was a constant source of support to their three children during his illness.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Abundio Rojo Jr.; sisters, Isabela Salazar and Dolores "Dee" Rojo; nephews, Kenneth " Kenny" Franco, Lorenzo "Larry" Parra Jr., Daniel "Dino" Cabral, Richard "Richie" Magdaleno and Erik Marin.
James was the kind of person that if you needed help, you could count on him to be there for you. He touched each of our lives in his own special way and left behind an impression deep in our souls that will forever be remembered. It is with very heavy hearts that we must now lay him to rest.
Visitation will be tonight, Tuesday, January 19, from 5 till 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m, in the Chapel of Camino del Sol Funeral Home.
Mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, 10 a.m., in Santa Clara Catholic Church, 323 South "E" St., Oxnard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Otto & son's, Camino del Sol, 200 North "C" St., Oxnard, (805) 483-3443.
