Frank Brescher Jr. Obituary

Frank Abraham Brescher Jr. of Port Hueneme, Ca passed away at his home on December 24, 2019. He was born on December 14, 1943 to Frank and Mozella (McDonald) Brescher, in Louisiana.  Frank and I moved to Port Hueneme from Toluca Lake,  CA in 2012.  Frank was a forceful presence no matter where he went, his voice was loud but there was no way you could ask him to speak in a normal tone.  He wanted to make sure he was heard and most often interacted with every stranger he met, from telling grocery store clerks jokes to tapping total strangers on the shoulder, saying "have you heard this one?"  He was very proud of his years as a stockbroker, financial advisor and historian.  Many people were on the listening end of his long stories as he displayed the "wall chart" that hung in his office which showed the history of man from bc to the present. He was overwhelmed at the progress we made in just the last century.  No one who knew Frank could every forget him...He was a great man and his presence was always known.  What an amazing father and husband, from rocking and changing diapers for our two babies to being a fantastic cook proud of his Cajun heritage. He was a grandfather to four and mentored each one, especially in sports and art.  He made a mean Coq au Vin,Eggs Housard ala Brennans and made a roux to perfection. He was voted most handsome at Ponchatoula high school and was the star of the football team.  Golf and football were his other loves and he often drove around town in his Mazda van loaded with golf equipment and his best friend, Max, a yellow lab we adopted 2 years ago.  He has done everything from stockbroker to teleconferencing specialist to builder to riding his motorcycle while delivering videotapes to production houses in Hollywood.   He enjoyed it all and he and his wife, Connie, loved having parties and going on weekend road trips.  He made the perfect Cosmo, my favorite drink.   Every day he and Max would go to the Navy base golf course where he would run Max and drive golf balls.  He was also employed as a starter at the course on Saturday mornings. He would have wanted to live long enough to see a world at peace and of course, his team, LSU, win the championship and see Trump defeated. May Frank's spirit live in everyone's hearts.
