Francisco Rodriguez Ayala

Francisco Rodriguez Ayala, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his family on June 11, 2023, at the age of 97, in Oxnard, California. He was born on May 21, 1926, in Zamora, Michoacán México. Francisco, known affectionately as Grampa Chito, wore many titles throughout his lifetime, including Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Stepfather, Grandfather, Great grandfather, Great great grandfather, as well as Uncle, Cousin, Godfather, and Friend.

Francisco is survived by his children: Francisco, Carmen, Rudy, Rosanna (Martin), Carlos, Ruth, Teresa, John Peter (Hilda), and Margarita. He also leaves behind a legacy of love and memories through his 38 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Francisco is also survived by his two younger brothers Manuel and Jose Rodriguez Ayala, and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Luis Ayala Guerrero and Simona Rodriguez Lopez, his sister Guadalupe, and his brothers Carlos, Agustin, and Luis. Francisco also mourned the loss of his daughter Carmela, three grandchildren, Rafael Gonzalez, Destiny Ayala, and Leon Ortiz, as well as two great-grandchildren, Delilah Ayala and Jesus Ayala.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 6pm-9 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm at Camino Del Sol Mortuary, Oxnard California.

A Mass to honor Francisco's life will take place at 10 am on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Santa Clara Catholic Church with burial to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.

Francisco Rodriguez Ayala, Grampa Chito, will forever be remembered for his love, wisdom, and the countless lives he touched. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
