It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverley D. Salas on January 1, 2024, after a lengthy illness. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Keck Hospital of USC. Beverley was born in Ventura, CA. and was a lifelong Ventura County resident. She was educated in the Fillmore Unified School District. She was employed as a Customer Service Representative for the majority of her career. Beverley was known as the fun daughter, sister, mother and aunt in her family. She often took the time to ensure that the children in her family could participate in new experiences. She was also known as the handyman of the family, and was often called to fix or build things for family members, something she was very proud of.
Beverley loved music and dancing. Her favorite artist was Prince, and more recently, Cardi B. She also loved live sports and frequented Dodgers and Raiders games. Beverley met her spouse, Tanya Molina, in 2014 and they were together for almost a decade before marrying in a spiritual ceremony on November 5, 2023. However, Beverley was most proud of being a mother to her four daughters. She loved her daughters more than anything in the world and dedicated herself to ensuring that they felt loved and supported. She was very proud of their accomplishments! She fought a valiant four-month battle to overcome her illness as her greatest sadness was to leave her daughters. She accepted Jesus Christ and, in the end, took His hand. Beverley is survived by her spouse, Tanya Molina, daughters Anjelica V. Negrete, Alexandrya V. Negrete, Arianna V. Salas, Alainah V. Davalos, devoted mother Dianna L. Luna, sisters Bridgette Salas, Brianna Salas, Rosa Salas, nephew Ricardo Negrete- Lopez, and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Camino Del Sol Mortuary in Oxnard, CA on January 16, 2024 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM, with a Rosary taking place at 7:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on January 17, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fillmore, CA at 10:00 AM.
“He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.” -Revelation 21:4
