Amador Ortega passed peacefully in his home on 3-21-2023 from natural causes. He was born one 4-24-1927 in El Limon, Jalisco, Mexico. He immigrated to the United States at 18 years of age. Amador married Maria Luisa Ornelas in 1952 and they had one daughter, Mary Simpson. Amador worked very hard to provide  for his family sometimes holding down three jobs at the same time. He retired from Sunkist Lemon Association where he was a machinist for over 40 years. Amador was a loving father and grandfather to Christina Moss and Trinidad Sanchez.  Amador was also blessed to have an honorary family in Paisano and Salud Garcia and their three children Lucy, Ricky, and Bralio, who lovingly called him “Grandpa”. They took tender care of Amador in his golden years. Amador’s parting gift to those who loved him was the knowledge of the value of hard work and the blessings of having a strong faith and trust in Jesus Christ.​​

Immediately following the burial,  please join the family at 1:15 p.m., for an after service reception gathering at Amigos Sports Bar, 2831 E. Vineyard, Oxnard, CA.
