Trinidad Sendejas, 95, of Oxnard, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Maywood Acres Healthcare.
She was born June 21, 1914 in Ecuandureo, Michoacan, Mexico and had been a Ventura County resident for 80 years. Prior to her retirement, she owned and operated her own restaurant on Seventh Street called La Pasadita. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Trinidad is survived by her children, Marion Gonzales, Joe (Rita) Gonzales, Antonia Rodriguez, Pete (Maria) Gonzales, Gloria (Abel) Lopez, John (Cherie) Lujano, Gilbert (Gloria) Lujano, Isabel Morales and Connie Madrid; 30 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Natividad Oliva; brother, Socorro Hernandez, and her beloved son, Jimmy "Bongo" Gonzales.
Family would like to give a special thank you to Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association Hospice and Maywood Acres Healthcare for their tender loving care and compassion.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 25, with the recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m., at Camino del Sol Funeral Home, 200 North C St., Oxnard. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m., Friday, March 26, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Oxnard, with burial to follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park,Ventura.
