Life Legacy
Brian David Rice, age 35, of Ventura, departed us unexpectedly of natural causes Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011. Born in Bakersfield, he was a graduate of Buena High School.
Brian resided in Ventura for 26 years. He was working as a journeymen electrician for Scott & Sons Electric and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, local 952. He is survived by his wife, Danielle Rice; sons, Brandon and Travis Rice; mother, Jenelle Gorski; stepfather, Ken Gorski; brother, Sean Rice (Amy); grandmother, Audrey Torbett; all of Ventura. Great son, husband, father and friend.
If anyone knew Brian, they will know that the world just became a little less bright. He was warm, generous, loving and above all else, one of a kind. His contagious laugh and great big bear hugs will forever be missed. We love you Brian!
Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the I.B.E.W. Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brandon and Travis Rice Educational Fund: Account #40028572663, through Citi Bank, 1011 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura, CA 93003.
