Life, Stewardship and Legacy of Dennis Roberson, Jr.
 
Dennis was born July 18th, 1933 in Boykin (Brewton), AL to the union of Reverend Dennis Roberson, Sr. and Mary Ellen Roberson.
He grew up in Alabama, where he received his education and his Christian training. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age.
Dennis moved to California in 1955. He returned to Alabama in 1956 to care for his mother and Grandfather. After their passing Dennis married his high school soulmate Emma. He returned to California in 1958 with Emma and their baby boy Ray.
To this union they became parents of eight children.
Dennis was a faithful husband and loving father. After the passing of Emma, Dennis married Marie.
Dennis worked several jobs and was finally called to a position by the city of Oxnard where he retired after 30 plus years.
His religious affiliations were sheltered under Pastor Ogelsby, Pastor Williams and Pastor Cannon. After Reverend Cannon’s retirement, he was spiritually driven to start teaching in his home. Every Sunday morning, Sunday School and Bible with the family. He wanted his children to build and maintain a relationship with God, his final legacy.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Marie, son Ray (Debbie), granddaughter Brianna and great-granddaughter Roseaè, daughter Cheryl, son Jeffrey (Marina), grandson Isley, son David (Linda), granddaughter Janine (Alex), great-granddaughters Amara and Ayanna, grandsons Marcus Roberts, Maurice and Devon, daughter Doreen, daughter Joyce (granddaughters Autumn and Sierra), son Michael (grandson Eli) and daughter Vanessa the Light of his heart, sister Leola Samuel of Oxnard Ca, brother Daniel (Nellie) Roberson of Pensacola FL, a host of relatives and friends.
