Daniel Ortega Rodriguez

Daniel Ortega Rodriguez, 55, of Oxnard, California, passed away on June 13th, 2021.
He passed away in Oxnard, California due to blot clots complications.
Daniel (Danny) was born in Nayarit, Mexico to Ramon Rodriguez and Maria Selida Ortega. He grew up with sisters Rosa, Ramona, Martina, Paula, and bothers Sabino, Angel and Andy. As a teen, he loved spending his time with his older siblings trying to act their age. As he got older, he attended CET   training school to study electronic soldering. This sparked his passion for not ever working in a sit-down environment and to pursue a career in mechanical equipment. He worked in this industry for over 35 years.
In his late teens he met first wife. They met in Oxnard, Ca. Within 5 years of their relationship, they had started a family, complete with his first-born daughter Melissa and son Tristan. This relationship lasted for about 13 years. In his early 30s he met his second wife in Oxnard, Ca. As a family they had his son Andrew and daughter Serena.  Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Danny and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving and providing for his family. Although prior to his passing he had divorced, he was still a very loving family man.
In addition to his children Tristan, Andrew and Serena, Danny is survived by his siblings Rosa, Ramona, Martina, Sabino, Paula and Andy and many loving family members. He was preceded in passing by his father Ramon, cousin Peter, daughter Melissa, cousin Jose 'Chirikis", brother Angel, cousin Adrian and Mother Maria.
Danny was known for his love of football and his team The Denver Broncos. He was a very responsible working man. He loved to joke around, very often inappropriately. He was loved by many. He will be dearly missed.  
The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1st, 2021, at 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Camino Del Sol Mortuary in Oxnard, California.

The Rosary will be recited the at 7 p.m. The memorial service will be held July 2nd, 2021, at 11 a.m., burial to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
